Class Rank

Some scholarships and colleges require a class rank when applying.

Submitting ACT scores for class rank is optional. If a student does not require a class rank, there is no need to submit scores.

The deadline for submitting ACT scores for class rank is December 27th. Late submissions cannot be accepted!

You will use the attached Google Form to submit scores.

Before you begin:

**Please ensure that you have your student's official ACT score sheet ready before filling out the attached Google form. The submission form will require an upload of the actual ACT score sheet. You may upload that in a jpeg format (picture), attached document, or as a scanned file, but your student's name MUST be visible on the official scoresheet no matter the format you choose to attach. Google Forms submitted without an upload of the official ACT score sheet cannot be considered.

We do not use GPA to calculate class rank.

Completing the form:

Enter the highest score in EACH section, which formerly meant students could submit 4 different test scores. However, ACT now provides the Superscore in the test results, so that score (which shows the highest score in each section) is all you need. 

When can I expect to receive my student’s class rank?

You will be notified of your student's class rank around the last week of December or the first of January once everyone has received their test scores from ACT and has then submitted them to the class rank coordinator.

Please note that ACT scores are usually received 10 days from the test date, but could take a little longer. We need your scores as soon as you receive them from ACT! If you have not received your test scores from ACT by the deadline listed above, please send an email to the address listed IMMEDIATELY!

**If your student takes the test more than once and improves their superscore in any area, you may submit the new score BEFORE the deadline, but you must upload the official ACT score sheet that reflects the higher score. Remember that that student’s name MUST be visible on the uploaded file.

Late submissions cannot be considered.

A Home Ed volunteer is responsible for managing the Class Rank, and the deadline for it is on December 27th, which falls during the holiday season. If you do not receive your student's class rank by the end of December, please keep in mind that the volunteer may be occupied with holiday festivities. However, everyone should receive their student's class rank by the end of the first week of January, if not sooner.
